The Run On Atlantis

Combining an amazing amount of poker skill, a field full of awful players, & a savvy chip leader in the form of BrassFox, Adam Liebman qualified for Paradise Poker's first live tournament, Conquest. Adam, along side his stunning & witty co-captain/blogmaster, Jason Flanzer, will attempt to take down a six figure payout! The pair will travel to the Bahamas’ Atlantis Resort where I will keep you updated on the duo's exploits, mishaps, & the gamesmanship of Adam as he makes THE RUN ON ATLANTIS!

No to Comedy, Yes to Corona

After some thought, the plan for the night is to take 100 dollars to the let it ride table, get free drinks and go to the Atlantis Bar and Grill, where Jevon has been hooking it up VIP style. There should be about 60 players left from flight two and one stack is over 100,000. Jason will start the blog up again tomorrow and hopefully have some good things to report.

Atlantis is a RIDICULOUS Place

What a day. We've only been up for 6 hours, but both Jason and I are beat to exaustion. After spending a couple hours poolside working on my tan, we checked up on the pokerroom. Johnny V was still in it but after we got back to the pool (and i got back to my drink), he sat down in front of us, busted before the third break. :( To ease his frustration, he suggested a jetski adventure. After some deliberation, we decided it was just too good to pass up. Jason, Alicia, John and I walked down to the beach and tried to figure out how to ride the waves. We were approached by multiple people running the jetski operation, and then all of a sudden, they started fighting eachother. I'm not gonna lie, I was not comfortable at that point. All my Mom had been saying was that I be prudent, and these crazy bahamians already had our money and were running down the beach. We kept our cool, and got on to the sickest waverunner ever. Mine was really, really fast, and I beat everyone when we tried to race. That was a lot of fun, and I'm glad that John suggested it. After that we headed back up to the pools and went on the slides. It was fun. Then we split up and right now, Jason and I are just exploring the mini-bar. Everything up here is so ridiculously expensive that I've just resigned myself to winning the tournament to pay for all the beer.
We're probably going to go to the comedy show tonight, and after that, who knows? Just gonna take it easy and get ready for the tourney. Jason will probably post something later with pictures, but for now, I'm out.
Fleischer, my bad, you know you're my bball playing buddy, and I thank you for your support.

Deep Breath....

The Run On Atlantis Wow. First I want to say thanks to all the people who are reading this blog and cheering me on. Bernie, don't fail finals, and Andy, don't worry, I don't plan on dumping chips anytime soon. Rosen and Goffman, thanks for the kind words. JWeb, big ups for keeping tabs on the paradise blog. It's really cool to know that you guys are behind me. So, after day one, I am 12th in chips out of the 46 players remaining. Today's flight will probably be a little larger with a little bit better quality of play, and I don't know if they will get under the 50 mark, but right now, I'm exactly where I want to be. After I made that flush last night, Randy (PokerRanders) sat down immediately to my right. I picked up KJ, raised standard and he popped me back. I folded and he showed me J9. The man is aggressive and gets people to do what he wants. If that weren't enough, 20 minutes after that (after Randers busts another player) the chip leader, Bengt Sonnert sits down at our table! I had played with him earlier in the day and he is a really cool guy. and he also made a sick call on me when I bet the river on a low board from the small blind and he just had AQ (I had KJ). In addition, Owen Simring was at my table (7th), and when the day endded there was another stack at my table larger than myself as well. So I'm very glad that I'll be able to move tables tomorrow. Mike, the man in the orange shirt, has provided invaluable advice, about the players and the tournament, and KNOCK ON WOOD, he says that I will be able to coast to the money. He's playing today, and we'll meet up later this afternoon or tonight to discuss the way play is progressing. I've met some very cool people on this trip and they are really helping my play.
Today is the day off and I plan to make the most of it. Jason and I are going to hit up all the slides around here, and take somepictures so you guys can see how awesome Atlantis is, and we'll check in later as we cheer John and Mike on. Keep it real, and thanks again for the support.
